Theatre tots and Diddidance present The Little Chill in the Big smoke – Childrens summer festival 16th and 17th July 2011 @ Pistachios in the Park, Manor House Gardens
Programme:
16th July
10 am – Theatre tots – The Big Puppet Park Parade! – Free event to start the weekend. Bring your favourite puppet or cuddly toy for a walk!
10.30 and 11.30 – Handprint Theatre’s ‘Soapy Sam’ – £10 per child for show and workshop. Accessible to deaf and hearing audiences.
12.15 – 1.15pm – Handprint Theatre Workshop Included in ticket price.
2pm and 3pm – Magic Box theatre ‘The Fairy Clock’ – £4 per child. The Fairy Clock is a 35 minute puppet show by children’s author Michele Petit-Jean for ages 3+ with great songs and lots of audience participation
which follows the adventures Dan the Dandelion Seed on his journey through the seasons.
3.45 – 4.15pm – Boppin Bunnies workshop – £3 per child
3.45 – 4.45 – Babistic, baby massage Babistic Baby Massage courses are for parents to learn to massage their babies. Come and learn some strokes, the benefits and why it’s so important
to learn your baby’s cues, and what oils are suitable. There will be some rhymes and songs and gentle yoga inspired movements. Suitable for babies aged five weeks up to a year. www.babistic.co.uk
4.45pm – 5.15pm – Diddidance – FREE – www.diddidance.com
5 – 5.30pm – Crafty Cooks Tea Time Treat – £5 per child. Cook some yummy savoury or sweet treats for your tea and learn about the food you use with Crafty Cooks, local childrens cookery group.
5.30 – 6.30pm – The Big Dance at the Little Chill – FREE. family dance event. An hour of different styles!
17th July
10am – Lets play out workshop
11am – 11.30am – Little Something Theatre Company – I want a Star as a friend – Join the Little Something Theatre and follow Pandora as she searches the world high and low to find her very own star as a friend. A magical modern
folk tale to enchant little ones and their grown ups! with storytelling, puppetry and plenty of adventure! The perfect Little Something for your
little someones. For 4-8’s.
12 – 1.30pm – Munchkins Big Lunch Munch – The Munchkins Kids cooking Team present a fun, hands-on Lunch Making workshop for big and little cooks! Join us in the Cooking tent and make your
own tasty lunch…..wizz up a refreshing fruit smoothie with your favourite fruit, pile in the fillings to make your perfect sandwich, and flip
a melty cheese quesadilla just the way you like it! £4 per child, £6 per adult. Can buy a voucher to be used at any time between 12 and
1.30. Workshop includes a tasty lunch!
