“It’s been lovely seeing how Hannah has grown more confident since we started going to diddi dance, she’s gone from being stuck on my hip to actually sitting and listening, getting involved with the class and doing the dancing. The class itself is really varied, the favourite bit is when the teacher gets out the props which are hoops, then ribbons, then something else from her magic bag that changes every week. And they’re learning loads like colours and numbers, even how to count in French! Hannah re-enacts it all at home with me and her parents, she loves it, and I love the teacher, she’s full of energy and really good with the children.”
“We have great fun at diddi dance each week. My daughter knows all the moves and practices them at home, and she can even count up to 10 in English, French and Spanish because of one of the songs we sing together at the class – a great party trick for a 2-year-old!”
“diddi dance has made a real difference to our setting. The children have loved every session and parents have spoken about how enthusiastic they are at home. The children’s listening and rhythmic skills have also improved greatly. The sessions have provided staff with new ideas and skills to develop their teaching. All the children are involved and engaged and even some of the children with low self-esteem have grown in confidence after each session. We thoroughly recommend diddi dance in all settings.” – Jo Proctor, Discovery Primary School
“This was the 3rd dance group my 2-year-old has attended and this was the first one she seemed to be interested in. The teacher had so much energy and kept the children busy. All props used were great to get the children involved. Would definitely recommend and look forward to some more diddi dance lessons. thank you.”
“My son has been attending these classes for nearly 6 months and I can’t believe the progress he has made, when he first started he didn’t want to contribute but the teacher has helped bring on his confidence to join in and now he can’t wait for his weekly dance class, can’t recommend diddi dance enough for learning little ones how to socialise whilst having lots of fun.”
“We’re loving the classes! Both my son and daughter really enjoy them, especially my daughter aged 16 months has been doing nothing but dancing at home since we started coming! So lovely to see.”
“We have been using diddi dance in Reception and Year One for four years. The teachers are vibrant and energetic and the children thrive on this! The lessons are well structured, pacey and fun. The children develop a wide range of skills stretching beyond those of dance with turn-taking and partner work, counting, even a bit of Spanish! We highly recommend diddi dance.” – Lucy Wheatley, Windrush Primary School
“My daughter loves diddi dance! She’s nearly 2 and talks about it to all of her family and really enjoys the classes! She even practices the dances throughout the week. She’s taken to it so well and the people are really friendly which is great. Would highly recommend it to anyone with young children.”
“We love diddi dance! The teachers are such fab and really engage the kids so that even the shy ones feel happy to join in. The classes are great fun, with lots of props and a mixture of new and old songs each term. The songs are really catchy too. Brilliant classes!”
“As a Childminder I have been bringing children to diddi dance for about 8 years. I currently bring a 2 year old boy to the Blackheath class. ALL the children I have brought (6 in total I think) have loved the sessions and joined in enthusiastically, especially loving the different themes and props. It is good for social skills, listening & understanding as well as physical development in addition to being brilliant fun. The teacher is fantastic at motivating the children & keeping order effortlessly, the children have genuine affection for her. Well done & keep up the good work.”
“The children really enjoy the diddi dance sessions we have at our Family Fun Days. The diddi dance teachers are professional and friendly with the children and parents. They show an interest in the children they are working with; they engage, support and encourage children as they participate in the activities. Our children love using the props and instruments provided. They also learnt about colours, movement, directions, listening and instructions while playing and having fun.” – Patricia Reeves, Parent Outreach Worker at Bessemer Grange Children’s Centre
“I became conscious that my daughter did not socialise much with children her own age and was not very confident with making new friends. I went to the Baby Show and whilst looking around I came across the diddi dance stall. Everyone was so friendly and I was offered a free trial to the Greenwich class. I took my daughter to her first class about 6 months ago and she loved it. She loves to dance and has become more confident, outgoing and made lots of new friends. Her teacher is fantastic and my daughter is so comfortable with her. In fact, at home, she will pretend to be the teacher and teach me & her daddy all her new dance moves. The atmosphere in the class is very relaxed and welcoming. The children can engage as much as they want or just do their own thing. No pressure is put on the children to participate instead the teacher is very positive and gives a lot of praise to all the children. I also like how diddi dance change the dance style every term so that the children learn lots of different moves. I can’t emphasise enough how pivotal diddi dance has been to my daughters development. Thank you diddi dance.”
“I took my son for a free trial and am delighted to say that he absolutely loved it! Normally he isn’t keen to follow instructions and becomes bored easily… Not this time, he happily joined in and did what the rest of the class were doing, we are certainly going back!”
“If you’re looking for fun and fitness in a friendly warm environment then look no further than diddi dance. The teachers provide a superb class where my little lady is mesmerised. Classes are suitable for both boys and girls aged from 18 months upwards and last for 45 minutes. Parents and carers are encouraged to join in and share the enjoyment with their little diddi dancer. Building confidence and social skills whilst learning some funky moves, your little one with be moving from start to finish. The fun doesn’t stop at the end of the class as the music and moves will be with you all week. We love our class and had a super time at the Christmas party too! Check them and their growing number of classes out! #ViewFromADaddy”
“I was so impressed with the quality and quantity of the dance activities. I was amazed at the toddlers counting not only in English but in French up to ten and how they engaged with the teacher.” Maggie Johnson – Community Researcher, Swindon Borough Council
