The team at diddi dance, the brand behind the much loved preschool dance classes, are extremely proud to announce their franchise diddi dance Central & North Liverpool & South Knowsley has achieved Gold accreditation from the Children’s Activities Association (CAA). The CAA is the only not-for-profit, industry-led association to set and raise standards in all organised children’s activities across the UK and this achievement clearly showcases the team at diddi dance Central & North Liverpool & South Knowsley’s passion for excellence.
Set-up by leading industry experts in 2015, including diddi dance Founder Anne-Marie Martin, the establishment of the CAA (a Community Interest Company) has revolutionised the children’s activities sector. After Anne-Marie completed the accreditation process for diddi dance in 2016, she decided to offer the same accreditation to each diddi dance Franchise. This past month Anne-Marie & diddi dance were thrilled to personally accredit franchisee Kirsty Barker and her franchise diddi dance Central & North Liverpool & South Knowsley
Over 200,000 children a week now attend a CAA member activity and it is a truly fantastic endorsement for diddi dance Central & North Liverpool & South Knowsley to be part of this ground-breaking national initiative. Kirsty’s commitment to achieving Gold for her franchise shows her dedication to demonstrate to her industry peers and her fellow diddi dance franchisees that she excels at what she does as well as giving her parents the reassurance they deserve when selecting the best classes for their little ones.
Kirsty opened diddi dance Central & North Liverpool & South Knowsley at the beginning of this year, January 2022, and now runs numerous classes in the area, and is working really hard to make it into one of the most recognisable diddi dance brands in the nation. Becoming a Gold accredited member of the CAA is the latest achievement in the brand’s success story supporting dancing toddlers weekly.
It is staggering to learn that before the CAA, there was no national, independent association in the UK for the children’s activity sector as a whole. Through the development of the CAA Code of Practice and via their thorough accreditation, for the first time, parents can now easily make simple, informed decisions when choosing from the wealth of children’s activities out there. Just by asking whether the provider is a CAA member, a parent or carer can get reassurance on important issues such as insurance, health and safety, criminal record checks, training, qualifications, class content and much more.
As one parent said regarding the CAA –
With so many clubs and classes to choose from it’s so hard to know which are the best and what I should be asking when I leave my children in the care of a class leader. In the past I just wrongly assumed kids’ activities must have to be regulated. Knowing that the CAA has asked those important questions to help keep my child safe is fantastic – so now I just look for their logo!”
Having achieved Gold CAA accreditation means that diddi dance Central & North Liverpool & South Knowsley has been independently verified as having met or exceeded all the necessary elements of the CAA Code of Practice. This accomplishment offers parents peace of mind when selecting an activity from the myriad of providers out there.
Anne-Marie, commented on the accreditation process and Kirsty’s success:
“We are so proud of Kirsty’s determination and drive to achieve gold so quickly since starting her diddi dance. She has shown amazing drive, proving she is running an outstanding business.”
Adding to this Kirsty of diddi dance Central & North Liverpool & South Knowsley said:
“I’m so pleased to have now achieved my gold CAA accreditation. Knowing I’ve achieved the highest level means I can proudly let all my parents/carers and nursery settings know that their children are in the safest possible hands. Having this award helps build my business as I am able to say with confidence that I have the support of the diddi dance franchise and CAA which are highly commended in the industry. Whether it be health and safety, child safeguarding, criminal record checks, qualifications or training I have completed them to the highest standard.”

“Hello! I’m Andrea and you are all very welcome at diddi dance Southampton! Dance has always featured in my life, from the ballet and tap classes I attended from age 3, to having a good old boogie with the girls on a Saturday night aged…well that’s a secret! And although dance styles and music influences have changed, my love of moving to music has remained a constant.
diddi dance really is so much more than dancing to music. It offers the children physical and social development in a fun and friendly way. Children are free to express themselves, be creative and burn off their boundless energy! And for adults? Well, we get to be part of the fun too as our involvement nurtures and supports the growth of their confidence and abilities.
diddi dance’s unique tunes are just so catchy that they’ll get your toes a-tapping and your hips a-wiggling and I cannot wait to share this with you at a diddi dance class in Southampton.”
diddi dance Reading & Wokingham
Bethany Bianga has taken over diddi dance Reading & Wokingham from the fabulous Andrea Bickford who ran diddi dance for a few years,. Bethany was a teacher here so some of you may already know her.

dance Reading & Wokingham it’s always been a dream of mine to own my own dance business and I can’t wait to share my love and passion of dance with you all. I’ve been dancing for 20 years now, my love for dance grows and grows every day. I’m so excited to be taking over diddi”
“Hi, I’m Dani & I’m super excited to be introducing diddi dance Sunderland to you! I have always had a love of dance from a young age having trained as a dancer from the age of 6 doing tap, ballet, jazz, modern, and then going on to study contemporary at college. I then continued onto university completing my BA (Hons) in Performing Arts specialising in dance.
I worked as a children’s entertainer and dancer in hotels all over the Canaries & Balearic Islands which was just the best and spent a number of years working in nurseries which I loved….watching the children grow and learn was such a beautiful experience.
After a few years out, and being a Mummy to my 2 gorgeous little boys I’ve decided now is the time to go back to my roots and get my dancing shoes back on and have some fun….life is for living after all!!
Can’t wait to share this journey with you all…..let’s get dancing!” 💃🏻🕺🏻

Wow, diddi dance is celebrating its 18th birthday!
Anne-Marie Martin, founder of diddi dance says “I can’t believe diddi dance is an adult! Having started the very first class back in 2003 I’d have never thought it would be where it is today 18 years later! The thought of the very first diddi dancers now being in their twenties makes me not only feel very old but also very proud. Giving children a healthy and happy start in life is still our main passion”.
Join us on facebook and instagram where we will be celebrating throughout the month of November.
